True Authenticity
Most everyone can agree that being authentic – at least in my world – is essential to living a happy and fulfilling life. But do we really know what authenticity means, and how it plays out in our lives? Here are my thoughts on true authenticity.
Let’s Get Real
It’s time to be very honest about authenticity (is that redundant?!). We all think of being authentic as being real – sharing what we truly think and feel. It’s about showing our vulnerable, true selves to others, rather than hiding behind a facade.
You Are Already Enough
It’s common to believe that, in order to be enough, we have to keep doing more. The truth is that you are already enough, just as you are – without any doing. Let go of your attachment to the idea of “you” and be your True Self! Often, when I...Allowing the Good: Open to the Flow of the Universe
Just as we allow the rain to fall on the earth and nurture the land, we can allow the good to rain down on us from the Universe without effort.
We have entered the rainy season – at last – here in drought-stricken Northern California. We had our first good rain a few days ago and I was filled with gratitude. I opened my arms wide and let in the sweet droplets of life-sustaining water.
It caused me to reflect on the process of allowing. I’ve written about receiving in my blog, but allowing, although similar, addresses the idea of receiving in a different way. Allowing has many powerful meanings that can open us to the Divine Flow of the Universe.
Change Yourself Without Judging Yourself
Do you struggle with self-judgment? You’re not alone. It’s a fallacy to believe that you have to judge yourself in order to change. Here’s a more gentle and transformative way.
Every one of us has habits that we’d like to change. On the path of personal growth and awakening, this is especially true of our mental habits. It takes a firm resolve to transform negative thought patterns into positive ones. But we cause unnecessary upset by judging ourselves whenever we catch our minds in the act of the less-than-desirable behavior.
The False Hawk and the Real One: Ecotherapy Magic
Ecotherapy is a sacred, magical, and very fun way to work with clients. Consistently, I find that nature brings exactly what is needed – even over the phone! Here’s a snippet of a powerful ecotherapy session full of synchronicity, messages, and inspiration.
Autumn – A Time of Reflection
It’s October, and we’re arrived at the fall season; the time of depth, release, and going within. The leaves are turning and it’s a time of letting go – but it’s also the perfect season for reflection. Fall brings up memories. We even see this represented...10/10 Sunday Service Guest Speaker (Zoom)

In order to do more in your life, you need to fill yourself abundantly by “being” more. Here’s how.
Most of my adult life, I have had a compulsion to do. It’s this nagging feeling that I’m not doing enough and need to keep doing more. Then I tend to overcommit myself, get overwhelmed, and have to clear the plate again to find my balance.
I’ve worked on the roots of this issue for some time. I have embraced doing less and enjoy that! My sense of self is less defined by doing, and more by who I truly am.
But what about when I actually want to do more – not just the compulsive fear of not being enough driving me, but a deep inspiration and desire to share more with the world? How do I make sure I don’t overcommit and spin myself into that excessively-busy, overscheduled and burned out experience?
Your Next Chapter: Writing the Book of Your Life
If your life were a book, what would its title be? What chapter are you on now? Impact your next phase of life by creating it intently as you would craft a book.
Some people believe in past lives, but my experience is that we have many lives in this one life. Isn’t your life quite different than it was in your childhood? Perhaps even vastly changed just in the last couple of years. We all go through life phases based on our age, family circumstance, where we live, our occupation, school or college, our health, our relationships, and so much more.
It’s helpful to reflect on your past as a means of gaining wisdom and understanding, completion, and crafting your next phase of life. Each period of our journey through this lifetime is like a chapter in a book. Not only can you reflect on the past by writing your story, but you can impact the future by writing your next chapter (or at least its title) now.
The Past: A Conscious Re-writing of His or Herstory
Looking at our lives as a book gives us the opportunity to write, or rewrite, our history. After all, history is told by those who write the history books, and you are the author of your own life. You may not be able to change the events that have happened, but you can change how you tell their story.
One of the most important questions in personal and spiritual growth is “What is your True Self?” The answer is elusive, but the question is essential to ask ourselves and contemplate.
